daar had ik wat aan - het werkt nu! Bedankt.
(Ik begrijp niet goed waarom ik de mplayer-plugin niet vond via 
firefox->tool->add-ons; en het installeerde in de verkeerde directory, maar 
dat kon ik verhelpen)
