Dat had ik ook al bedacht, maar tot mijn verrassing bevat de manpage
alleen:

       -l     use a long listing format

en

       --format=WORD
              across  -x, commas -m, horizontal -x, long -l, single-column -1,
              verbose -l, vertical -C

Er staat wel onderaan:

SEE ALSO
       The  full  documentation  for ls is maintained as a Texinfo manual.  If
       the info and ls programs are properly installed at your site, the  com-
       mand

              info ls

       should give you access to the complete manual.


Blijkbaar heeft jouw distro de info versie enigzins teruggewerkt in de
manpage.
