Ik werk met SUSE 9.2.
Met 'cdrecord -scanbus' krijg ik:
        Cdrecord-Clone 2.01 (i686-suse-linux) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg Schilling
Note: This version is an unofficial (modified) version
Note: and therefore may have bugs that are not present in the original.
Note: Please send bug reports or support requests to http://www.suse.de/feedback
Note: The author of cdrecord should not be bothered with problems in this version.
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/pg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.

        .
        .
        .
        scsidev: 'ATAPI:'
        devname: 'ATAPI'
        scsibus: -1 target: -1 lun: -1
        Warning: Using ATA Packet interface.
Warning: The related Linux kernel interface code seems to be unmaintained.
Warning: There is absolutely NO DMA, operations thus are slow.
        Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
        scsibus0:
                0,0,0 0) 'DVD-ROM ' 'DVD-12X2H ' 'IHG6' Removable CD-ROM
                0,1,0 1) 'LITE-ON ' 'LTR-48125S ' '1S01' Removable CD-ROM
                0,2,0 2) *
                0,3,0 3) *
                0,4,0 4) *
                0,5,0 5) *
                0,6,0 6) *
                0,7,0 7) *

        .
        .
        .
        scsidev: 'ATA:'
        devname: 'ATA'
        scsibus: -1 target: -1 lun: -1
Warning: Using badly designed ATAPI via /dev/hd* interface.
        Linux sg driver version: 3.5.27
        Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
cdrecord: Warning: using inofficial libscg transport code version (okir op suse.de-scsi-linux-sg.c-1.83-resmgr-patch '@(#)scsi-linux-sg.c 1.83 04/05/20 Copyright 1997 J. Schilling').
        scsibus1:
                1,0,0 100) 'DVD-ROM ' 'DVD-12X2H ' 'IHG6' Removable CD-ROM
                1,1,0 101) 'LITE-ON ' 'LTR-48125S ' '1S01' Removable CD-ROM
                1,2,0 102) *
                1,3,0 103) *
                1,4,0 104) *
                1,5,0 105) *
                1,6,0 106) *
                1,7,0 107) *

        cdrecord: No write mode specified.
        cdrecord: Asuming -tao mode.
cdrecord: Future versions of cdrecord may have different drive dependent defaults.
        cdrecord: Continuing in 5 seconds...
        Cdrecord-Clone 2.01 (i686-suse-linux) Copyright (C) 1995-2004 Jörg Schilling
Note: This version is an unofficial (modified) version
Note: and therefore may have bugs that are not present in the original.

Note: The author of cdrecord should not be bothered with problems in this version.
        scsidev: '0,1,0'
        scsibus: 0 target: 1 lun: 0
cdrecord: No such device or address. Cannot open '/dev/pg1'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'cdrecord -scanbus'.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'cdrecord dev=help'.

'ls -l /dev/pg1' geeft:
        crw-rw---- 1 root disk 97, 1 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/pg1

        .
        .
        .
        scsidev: '1,1,0'
        scsibus: 1 target: 1 lun: 0
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/sg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
        .
        .
        .

'ls -l /dev/sg*' geeft:
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 0 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg0
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 1 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg1
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 10 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg10
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 11 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg11
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 12 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg12
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 13 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg13
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 14 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg14
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 15 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg15
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 2 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg2
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 3 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg3
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 4 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg4
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 5 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg5
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 6 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg6
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 7 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg7
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 8 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg8
        crw-r----- 1 root disk 21, 9 Dec 3 19:50 /dev/sg9

In '/etc/fstab' staat:
        /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0
        /dev/dvd /media/dvd subfs fs=cdfss,ro,procuid,nosuid,nodev,exec,iocharset=utf8 0 0

gebruik liever mijn hoofd systeem.
