[linux] Hoe kan ik Red Hat kernel crash dumps analyseren?

Ik heb een Red Hat 3.0U7 geinstalleerd en dankzij Netdump wordt na
een kernel panic op de server een ei gelegd, genaamd vmcore.

# file vmcore

from 'nux'

Ik probeer deze te openen met:
# crash /boot/System.map-2.4.21-40.ELsmp /boot/vmlinux-2.4.21-40.ELsmp\

Wat mis ik? Heb ik een speciale kernel met symbol table nodig?
